Casper Practice Test: an AI-Scored Sim in the Real 2026-27 Format

Practice without feedback is just typing fast in a quiet room. Here, AI reads every answer you give and scores it 0-100 against the nine competencies Casper says it measures, then tells you the two things that worked, the two things to change, and how the key line should have read. Sample answers and a stopwatch are the usual Casper practice kit. We score every answer you write — in seconds, on your first free run.

The fastest way to get better at Casper is to practice under the published constraints: 3.5 minutes for two typed answers, one minute per video answer, and hard stops with no pausing. Test takers consistently report that the real test gives only one take per video answer, so our sim enforces a single take too — even though Acuity does not publish that rule. Our practice sim runs the complete 2026-27 structure — 11 scenarios, 4 video-response then 7 typed-response, with the official timings, reflection periods, and break placement — and your first full run is free, no card required.

Before you use us or anyone else, know this: Acuity Insights (the company that runs Casper) offers a free, unlimited practice test inside every applicant account, and it does not endorse any third-party prep — including this site. Take the official practice test; it's the only one that runs in the real interface — we lay out an honest prep plan around it. Then, if you want what it doesn't do — feedback, repetition, timing data, video playback — that's what we built. One full free run of our own sim is also available.

What a practice run looks like here

Every sim follows the published format exactly. You'll face 4 video-response scenarios first: a scene with a role prompt, an optional 30-second reflection, then each question one at a time — 10-second countdown, 60 seconds of recording, hard stop. Because test takers consistently report the real test allows only one take, our sim gives you a single take too. Then 7 typed scenarios: both questions on one page, one shared 3.5-minute timer, no spellcheck, and when the clock hits zero your answer freezes mid-sentence, exactly as the real test submits it. Optional 10- and 5-minute breaks land where the real ones do.

    10-second countdown before a one-take video answer

Every scenario is original, written to the published format and the nine competencies Casper says it measures — collaboration, communication, empathy, fairness, ethics, self-awareness, resilience, problem solving, and motivation. You will not find real Casper content here, on principle and by design: the real items are confidential, and any site claiming to have them is telling you something about itself.

    Your score, answer by answer

The moment a run ends, scoring starts. Each answer comes back with a number out of 100, a rating out of 10 on each competency that scenario was written to test, two strengths, two concrete fixes — not "be more empathetic", but what to name and who to acknowledge — and one rewritten sentence you could have used. The session gets an overall score and a readiness band, and your dashboard tracks latest, best, and average so improvement stops being a feeling and starts being a number that moves.

Spoken answers stay on your device unless you want them scored. Press the button and that one recording is uploaded privately, transcribed, and rated exactly like a typed answer — deletable whenever you like.

You still get everything the timing gives you: your typed answers verbatim with cut-offs flagged, playback of every recorded video answer, seconds used, words typed, and a coaching discussion of what strong responses to that scenario tend to address.

Session review with a spoken-answer transcript, AI answer score, competency ratings and timing diagnostics

One honest limit: your score here is ours, not Acuity's. Casper is rated by humans against everyone who took the same test instance, so no tool can tell you your quartile and we do not pretend otherwise. What our score does is the thing a stopwatch cannot — it reads what you actually wrote and tells you where the reasoning was thin, which is the only part you can still change before test day.

    Drills for the specific skills

    1:00

    Ready

    Nothing is recorded.

Beyond full sims: a typed drill (one scenario, real pacing, instant review), a video drill for the one-take answer muscle, a typing-under-pressure trainer built on the 3.5-minute two-question format, and a personal-experience drill — because 2026-27 test takers consistently report "describe a time you…" questions catching dilemma-only preppers off guard. Your first full sim is free; pricing is one flat payment after that, no subscription.

    FAQ

Is this the real Casper practice test?

No — the official practice test lives in your Acuity Insights account and is free. This is an independent simulator in the same published format, built for repetition, timing data, and feedback the official practice test doesn't provide.

    Are these real Casper questions?

No. Every scenario is original. Real Casper content is confidential, and we don't touch it.

How does the AI scoring work?

AI reads each answer and rates it 0-100 against the nine competencies Casper says it measures, with a rating per competency, two things that worked, two concrete fixes, and a rewritten example line. Spoken answers can be transcribed and scored the same way. It is an independent AI practice score, not an official Casper result.

Will you tell me my quartile?

No — nobody honestly can, and any tool that claims to is guessing. Casper is human-rated against everyone who took the same test instance. What we give you instead is a score and specific written feedback on every answer, plus a readiness band on the session, so you know what to change before test day. How Casper scoring works
