Which Schools Require Casper in 2026-27?
Casper requirements change mid-cycle — schools drop it, switch to alternatives, or adjust deadlines — so any undated list is a liability. Everything below was checked against each program's own admissions pages or the named institutional source on September 10, 2026. Before you rely on an entry, click through to the school's page; that link is the authority, not us. And bear in mind this is a selection of confirmed examples, not a census: Acuity reports 500+ institutions globally, and the only complete, current list for your situation is the program-selection step inside your own Acuity Insights account.

Not using Casper for medicine: Toronto, UBC, Western, NOSM, Memorial, and TMU.
Update on uOttawa: uOttawa has dropped Casper for the 2026-27 MD cycle. The OMSAS application guide now lists an asynchronous early-phase MMI (delivered on the Acuity Insights platform) as the screening step instead, and applicants confirm uOttawa is no longer selectable for Casper score distribution. Some older uOttawa pages may still mention Casper — the OMSAS guide and your own Acuity account are the current authorities here.
Three practical rules this list implies
First: your program list determines your test type — US and Canadian Casper variants are not interchangeable, and programs specify codes like "US Casper 2." Pick programs in your Acuity account first, and the right test type follows. Second: deadlines are per-school and earlier than you think — a "required" entry means nothing if scores can't arrive by that school's cutoff, and results take 2-3 weeks to reach programs. Third: requirements are living documents. We date-stamp this page and re-verify it; schools change their minds mid-cycle, and the entry you care about deserves a direct click today.
For what the test itself involves, start with the how the test works guide, and to practice under the real time limits before your sitting.
